Requirements for Statistics degree programs for students graduating in 2018

General College of Arts and Science regulations - from 2017/18 Academic Calendar

Specific requirements for Statistics for students graduating in 2018.>

There is one error in this description, under Double Major, which is also in error in the 2017/18 Academic Calendar. The last entry, which states "at least 3 additional Statistics courses at or above the 2000 level", should be "at least 3 additional Statistics course at or above the 2000 level, of which at least one course must be at or above the 3000 level"

Requirements for Statistics degree programs beginning fall, 2018

Important changes

  • The requirement for CSCI1100 has been removed for conentrated honours and major degrees in Statistics. Students are still recommended to take one of the introductory computer science courses CSCI 1105, or CSCI 1110.
  • It is recommended that Statistics students include one of CSCI2202 or CSCI1105.
  • Stat2450 is now a required course for concentrated honours and major degrees in Statistics.
  • Math2030 has been replaced by Math1030. For students who have completed Math2030, that course counts as a Statistics course at the 2000+ level.
